Two senior appointments have been made at maternity retailer Mamas and Papas by the newly-instated boss Jonathan Fitzgerald.

The position of product director has been handed to Paul Middlemiss, who has previously held similar roles at Robert Dyas and The Conran Shop, as well as a stint as home director at House of Fraser. He will now take on buying and design duties for the retailer.

Alongside Middlemiss will be Julie Rossiter, who has taken the role of quality director making her responsible for ensuring Mamas & Papas‘ customer service, technical and engineering operations are all up to standard.

Rossiter has replaced interim quality director Simon Colbeck, and has held positions at C&A and Shop Direct as technical director.

Following a successful Christmas period, posting double digit sales in the weeks leading up and over the festive season, the retailer has announced the launch of a new loyalty scheme entitled M&P and Me.

Launching across all of its 32 stores, the scheme takes information from expecting couples, and personalises offers relating to their due date and age of their child.
