Next to open in-store restaurants in Gino D’Acampo partnership

Next has announced plans to open restaurants and prosecco bars inside its stores, starting with two of its most popular northern outlets.

In a partnership with celebrity chef Gino D‘Acampo, Next is set to open its first 210-seat diner in the 70,000sq ft store in Kingswood Retail Park in Hull. Alongside the restaurant area and open kitchen, will be a deli, book and grocery store.

Next‘s Manchester Arndale property, the retailer‘s biggest store currently undergoing major refurbishment, will follow closely.

“Gino D‘Acampo not only serves great Italian food, his price points are accessible to all, which is a great fit for Next,” a spokesperson for the TV chef said.

The move will put next in league with the UK‘s leading department stores like Debenhams, John Lewis and House of Fraser and comes amid a £150 million overhaul of its estate.
