Reserved eyes second London store before opening its first

Polish fashion retailer Reserved is reportedly already in talks to open a second UK store in London, just days before its debut store is set to open.

According to Drapers, the brand is negotiating with “major” shopping centres in London for a second store, while simultaneously working on plans to expand into France and Italy.

Reserved’s first-ever UK store will open on September 6 at the former BHS unit on Oxford Street, London.

A dedicated UK website will also launch on the same day.

Chief executive and co-founder Marek Piechocki told Drapers that Reserved was “in talks with some major shopping centres in London” for a second store, with speculation it could be in either of Westfield’s two London locations.

However,  Piechocki said he wanted to  wait for three to six months after its UK flagship launch before deciding if there was enough demand for a second shop.

“We searched for a location in Oxford Street for three years before we found the right one,” he told Drapers.

“It‘s something we work on for a long time. Whether we will sign any leases depends on availability and the first few months of our flagship opening.”

Piechocki added that the retailer was aiming to open around 150 shops every year, and before expanding to the US and Asia, they wanted to focus on the UK, France and Italy.
