Ray-Ban to open new London flagship

Sunglasses brand Ray-Ban has chosen London as the location of its first standalone flagship store in Europe.

The 850sq ft shop will be located on the famous Carnaby Street, at number 23, and it is set to open this spring.

Ray-Ban said the new store would be a celebration of its “creative spirit and commitment to offering customers the world’s best eyewear shopping experience”.

The American brand best is known for its classic Aviator and Wayfarer sunglasses ranges.

The news follows the recent opening of Swedish watch brand Daniel Wellington, which is located next door to Ray-Ban’s soon-to-open store at 24 Carnaby Street.

“We are pleased to welcome Ray-Ban and Daniel Wellington to Carnaby,” said Samantha Bain-Mollison, head of retail at Shaftesbury, the property firm behind Carnaby Street.

“Both brands complement the fashion forward direction of Carnaby and the importance of strong accessories brands in the area shown through recent openings; Swatch and Finlay & Co.”
