Superdrug launches its own mobile network

Superdrug has announced an unlikely foray into the mobile phone network business by launching a mobile plan for its loyalty card members.

The health and beauty retailer will launch a SIM only plan for any customers who hold a Health & Beautycard on June 20.

There will be no contracts and for £10 a month customers will receive unlimited texts, calls and 4GB of data with anything unused getting rolled over to the next month.

The network is understood to be powered by Three.

Furthermore, Health & Beautycard holders who sign up will receive double points on all their purchases alongside and receive the cost of their first month’s plan back in points.

“We are always looking at ways that we can give our members something different, useful and great value and are delighted to offer this new mobile phone network,” head of Health & Beautycard Bhavik Davada said.

“Offering the service without a contract, allowing people to leave at any point, will give customers the freedom and transparency they’re looking for, while the added extra of getting your first month’s payment back in points allows members to give the service a try at no risk.”
