M&S to allow online returns in Simply Food stores

Marks & Spencer has expanded its click & collect service so as to allow customers to now be able to make online returns at its Simply Food stores.

While customers could previously collect their online orders in Simply Food stores, items could only be returned at larger-format M&S stores.

The new solution, in partnership with Doddle, enables customers to both collect and return their orders in one place at hundreds of M&S food stores.

The solution was initially trialled in seven locations from June 2017 and will now be available across 280 M&S Simply Food locations after the retailer recieved overwhelmingly positive feedback for it.

There are plans to roll out the online returns service to more Simply Food stores throughout the year.

“We’ve responded to increasing demand from our customers for more choice and convenience when it comes to collecting and returning their online orders,” head of M&S.com returns Richard Pugh said.

“Providing customers with a consistent customer experience, regardless of which Marks & Spencer store they’re in, is key to making every moment special.”
