Retail Gazette Loves: Harvey Nichols shoppable “Harvey’s Angels” choir

Department store Harvey Nichols has launched a Christmas campaign like no other, unleashing the “Harvey’s Angels” carol singers in offices across London.

The choir will sing traditional carols, alongside a medley of pop songs ranging from Chaka Khan to Destiny’s Child, to a number of offices including Google and Estee Lauder’s.

Each Harvey’s Angel will be dressed in the retailer’s latest partywear, and every item will be available to buy directly from its Instagram account via shoppable posts.

Ten per cent of all the purchases made online using the code “HNangels” and in-store at its flagship Knightsbridge branch over the four-day period will go to the charity Smart Works.

Smart Works is charity designed to help women get into the world of work, giving them the clothing and practical tools needed to succeed in interviews.

“Christmas is the fashion season, because it’s also party season. But we know that our customers are rushed off their feet,” Harvey Nichols’ group creative marketing director Deb Bee said.

“So we have partnered with Smart Works to raise awareness of this partnership and help busy women in London find a party outfit even if they can’t take time out of work.

WThis will be delivered in the most Christmassy way we know; with a fun, glamourous, party-song-singing, shoppable Christmas choir.”
