Independent retailer Goodhood has appointed former Liberty chief executive Iain Renwick to the board.

Renwick worked on restoring the luxury department store back to its original position as a world-renowned destination for fashion from 2002 to 2008.

His most recent role involved working as the executive chairman for brand sustainability consultancy Eco-Age.

Founded in the east London neighbourhood of Shoreditch in 2007, Goodhood sells over 200 brands across all categories.

“I feel that if Arthur Liberty, the revolutionary retailer of his times, were alive today he would be doing exactly what Goodhood is by creating and building from their east London base a new branded retail multi-channel concept that is becoming a true leader for a new generation,” chief executive Renwick said.
