The total number of roles within the customer and wholesale teams at risk of redundancy remains undisclosed.

Those who will be affected will go through an appropriate consultation over the coming weeks, Drapers reported.

However, a number of new roles within those teams are also being created.

Earlier this year, the retailer poached The Body Shop managing director for US, Toby Milton, to the newly created position of multichannel director.

White Stuff has said it is currently reviewing ways on how to improve its business model, and a structure change within its customer team is expected to impact its creative and marketing team.

In the year to April 27, total sales rose 2.6 per cent year-on-year, while online sales were up eight per cent on last year and now comprise 32 per cent of the total sales.

In-store sales fell by a mere 0.2 per cent but wholesale was up 4.3 per cent year on year.

White Stuff has 127 stores in the UK.
