Boots has become of the first major retailers to bring tights made from 86,000 recycled plastic bottles to the high street.
Available to buy online now and in select stores from the March 16, the new range of black opaque tights are made of plastic bottles that have been shredded into micro-particles before being melted down and spun into yarn.

Boots said it takes around four plastic bottles to make one pair of their eco-friendly tights, and no nylon used during the process.
The new range marks the latest initiative from Boots to become more environmentally friendly.
Over the last year the health and beauty retailer switched from plastic to paper bags, introduced refillable water stations in some stores and now stocks over 150 sustainable products.
The eco-friendly tights will be available in four different sizes (S,M,L,XL) in 80 denier and are priced at £8.50.
