Levi’s and Tiffany have donated millions towards Covid-19 related causes as the pandemic continues to affect businesses worldwide.
Denim retailer Levi’s has donated $3 million (£2.4 million) to relief efforts, while Tiffany donated a sum of $1 million (£800,000).
Levi’s chief executive Chris Bergh said the firm donated 10,000 medical-grade masks to health workers around the world and is currently investigating the capacity to produce more.

Levi’s is also directing funds into the Levi Strauss Foundation, which “is focused on supporting vanguard organisations that are championing marginalised people who are likely to be most affected”.
The retailer also said it introduced a programme designed to ramp up its efforts in fighting against the spread of Covid-19.
“The Levi Strauss Foundation is working with partner organisations in a number of sourcing countries to help address the immediate impact of the coronavirus in the apparel supply chain,” Levi’s said.
“This will include a series of grants focused on public health support and food security for factory workers, particularly for women who are most vulnerable to economic shocks.”
Meanwhile, Tiffany said it would allocate $750,000 (£600,900) to the Covid-19 Solidarity Response Fund for the World Health Organisation (WHO), and $250,000 (£200,300) to The New York Community Trust’s NYC Covid-19 Response & Impact Fund.
The Covid-19 Solidarity Response Fund for the WHO works to provide Covid-19 aid to countries around the world, especially those with the weakest health systems.
The NYC Covid-19 Response & Impact Fund aids nonprofit social service and arts and culture organisations struggling with the health and economic effects of the virus.
“During this global health crisis, we must all be responsive to the urgent needs of our
global communities,” Tiffany & Co Foundation chairman and president Anisa Kamadoli Costa said.
“We are proud to support organisations providing immediate relief for communities impacted by Covid-19, including our hometown of New York.”
