Homebase has launched a trial of a second smaller format high street store, this time one that is dedicated to kitchens and bathrooms.

The new smaller-format showroom is located in a redesigned Bathstore site at Sydenham Road, Guildford.

The new store also follows the two Decorate by Homebase smaller-format concept stores that launched in May.

Similar to the Decorate stores, the new concept in Guildford is a dual-branded Bathstore and Kitchens by Homebase laid out in a split-level showroom.

The ground floor displays kitchen manufacturer brands while the first floor is dedicated to bathroom under the Bathstore fascia.

The new store also offers expert advice to customers and installation service of any appliances and undertaking any electrical, plumbing, tiling and flooring requirements.

Customer can also book free design appointments in the new showroom, guided by an expert designer and specialist 3D design software.

“I am extremely proud of the whole team, who have worked so hard to create and launch this new concept store at a time of widespread disruption,” Homebase chief executive Damian McGloughlin said.

“We have invested a great deal in the in-store experience for customers across the country, which has included experimentation and innovation in new store concepts.”
