Go Outdoors has completed its acquisition of equestrian retailer Naylors Equestrian, as it seeks to offer customers “the best choice for all their equestrian needs”.

As part of the deal, Naylors Equestrian will continue to operate through its existing website and three stores in Rochdale, Nantwich and Cannock.

In addition, Go Outdoors is planning to launch Naylors concessions in its own stores over the coming months.

“We see great potential in the equestrian market and by acquiring an established retailer with a great heritage and reputation along with an experienced team, we can offer our customers the very best choice for all their equestrian needs,” Go Outdoors chief executive Lee Bagnall said.

Go Outdoors operates 66 stores across the UK and was bought back by sportswear giant JD Sports in a pre-pack administration earlier this year.

In July, the retailer said it could see its unsecured creditors recoup just 1p in every £1 owed.

JD Sports said it will pay the taxman, its branded stock suppliers, customers’ returns and gift cards.

Landlords and administrators likely be left out of pocket, Deloitte’s statement of proposals has shown.
