The chief executive of Tesco’s Asian business, Alison Horner is reportedly set to step down next month after 22 years with the supermarket.
Horner is one of the eight former Carillion directors facing a boardroom ban after the construction giant’s collapse in 2018.
She has run Tesco’s Asian division from Bangkok since June 2018, but will leave once the handover of its Thai and Mayalsian interests to Thailand’s CP Group is finalised, The Sunday Times reported.

The acquisition was given the green light by Thai authorities in November and CP Group confirmed it is “satisfied with the formal notice of approval”.
Tesco has offloaded a host of overseas markets since former boss Dave Lewis took the helm in September 2014.
Lewis, who resigned from Tesco last year, sold Tesco’s Homeplus business in South Korea for £4 billion back in 2015 and earlier this year struck a deal to offload its operations in Poland for £181 million.
Horner has been responsible for Tesco’s businesses in Thailand and Malaysia. She has also lead its developing business partnerships across the region.
Meanwhile, Tesco’s current chief executive Ken Murphy said Horner had had “an incredible career in Tesco”.
Horner told colleagues her decision to depart is unrelated to Carillion, where she had been a non-executive director.
Last week, new business secretary Kwasi Kwarteng launched proceedings against eight former directors of the construction company.
