Abercrombie & Fitch has opened its new store located on Regent Street, London.

The new store features the brand’s updated prototype format, which features the Abercrombie adults and Abercrombie kids brands.

“We believe stores matter, and our new Regent Street location is another example of our commitment to EMEA market, as well as our continued investment in and enhancement of our physical retail locations worldwide,” Abercrombie & Fitch Co global brand president Kristin Scott said.

“These smaller, more intimate spaces better resonate with our customers, and the omnichannel functionalities provide a seamless shopping experience.”

The new store’s amenities include fitting rooms containing adjustable lighting and music controls, a phone charging dock, and buttons for customers to alert associates when they need support.

The store is also equipped with click & collect, order in store, reserve in-store and ship from store capabilities.

“The Abercrombie & Fitch Regent Street location is one of the most culturally significant stores we have opened globally,” EMEA GVP, global brands, Daniel LeVesconte said.

“We are very excited to welcome customers to this new and exciting space, as it is another step forward in fostering closer connections to our EMEA customers.”

Last year, Abercrombie & Fitch revealed it would close its flagship London store by the end of January 2021, before its lease was set to expire, according to the Financial Times.

At the time, the clothing chain said it will close seven of its global flagship stores in total, after a drop in visitors during the pandemic exacerbated difficulties from underperformance.
