Foot Locker has launched its first ever Foot Locker Community Store in London’s Brixton, offering a full weekend of instore activities.

The revamped store is the UK’s first Foot Locker Community Store, aiming to build a “deeper connection” with the local community.

The new store will provide a space that goes beyond a traditional retail store, enabling visitors and locals to become active participants in the design and experience.

The space includes updates such as a newly dedicated space for women’s apparel, as well as a completely revamped House of Hoops Courtside concept.

House of Hoops by Foot Locker is the home of premium kicks from Nike and Jordan.

The store includes fresh pieces of artwork, designed by several local artists. Alex Garcia, an artist and Striper at the Foot Locker Brixton store, was commissioned to redesign the House of Hoops space alongside Kingsley Nebechi an award winning graphic designer, Carleen De Sözer, and Mr Cenz.

Female street art collective, WOM Collective’s members (Elno, Lourdes, Carleen and Sarah Roo), also worked alongside Alex Garcia to transform the main store space.

Customers were free to explore the new look store, and receive a free spruce up with Crep Protect on a bespoke cleaning throne.

Sneakers fans were treated to a complimentary, exclusive pair of socks with every purchase, which were also designed by Striper and artist, Alex Garcia.

Additionally, Fre Customs were on hand offering free sneaker customisation, with artwork inspired by the Brixton community.
