Iceland has announced it is expanding its manufacturing division as it seeks to recruit almost 100 colleagues.

The frozen food retailer will hire 90 new workers to handle its manufacturing business at the Manchester base.

The manufacturing site in Manchester is responsible for producing many of Iceland’s own-label ranges.

Iceland aims to boost its development and expand its exclusive Slimming World range available in Iceland stores, online and at The Food Warehouse.

Iceland Manufacturing is keen not only to recruit new colleagues to the team, with an additional 30 new people being sought across three shifts (morning, afternoon and nights), but to support the growth of existing talent by looking to promote from within.

New jobs will be advertised both on the Iceland jobs page and the Iceland Manufacturing LinkedIn page.

“We are excited to see our site grow as the Iceland ranges continue to expand,” Iceland Manufacturing managing director, Mark Ditch said.

“This is an exciting time for us to both recruit new colleagues but also to develop the existing talent we already have and promote from within the business.

“We’ve seen the incredible impact the expansion of Iceland’s own-label ranges has had on our business and this has allowed us not only to grow as a team but also invest in our infrastructure to offer even better staff facilities.”
