The store format, which is designed to elevate Nespresso’s retail offer and inspire its customers, includes an interactive ‘Taste & Discover’ area, where customers can explore and create their own coffee recipes using iPad tutorials and Nespresso machines. It follows on from the opening of Nespresso’s experiential format at Bluewater, Kent in September last year.

The Trinity Leeds store also features augmented reality (AR) experiences, where shoppers can learn the heritage behind Nespresso coffees and understand how capsules are recycled.

There is also a ‘Coffee as an Art’ masterclass area where customers can learn about sophisticated recipe creation, from roasting coffee beans to preparing cold brews.

Coffee specialists are also on-hand in store to help shoppers explore the Nespresso range further, with one-on-one coffee learning, tasting and machine demonstrations, to better understand their taste preferences.

“Our evolved boutique concept at Trinity Leeds will enable our customers to learn more about Nespresso blends, recipes, brewing methods and our commitment to sustainability.

“The new boutique offers sensorial excitement, excellent customer service and inspiring conversations with our coffee specialists, through immersive and personalised experiences that take coffee exploration further than ever before.”

The store also focuses on sustainability, with tabletops made with used coffee grounds, alongside 100% Forest Stewardship Council (FSC)-certified wood, sustainable building materials sourced from the UK and LED lighting. The shop also has a ‘Recycling Corner’, where customers can drop-off their used capsules to be recycled.
