Job Description

This internationally renowned research company seeks a Senior Research to add to its well established team here in the UAE. This role includes responsibility for day-to-day project management of straightforward projects and associated client relationships. A key requirement is to apply insight to research findings. There will be frequent face to face contact with clients, with meetings typically held at least once a fortnight. Ideas are actively encouraged from employees at all levels in this business and the role provides a real opportunity to help shape the direction of the division. We are also keen that researchers demonstrate a strong interest in the nature of this business in order to better help clients to apply research insight to their business strategy. Research Skills required: * Puts together accurate RFQs (Requests for Quotes) and costings for straightforward projects. * Drafts basic proposals within familiar areas of research/expertise and provides support for larger scale proposals. * Supports simple questionnaire design and administers questionnaire script development through to approval by the manager. * Works autonomously on delegated tasks (e.g. codeframes, fieldwork monitoring) * Manages straightforward projects, liaising with operations and managing survey set up, monitoring, data analysis and basic reporting. * Coordinates field set up and materials and monitors field work for more complex projects. * Identifies and specifies analysis (including complex analysis) to put data across clearly and effectively. * Drafts presentations/reports/deliverables * Is aware of budget and actively controls costs * Considers/implements actions from the client/business plan. Business skills required: * Meets individual deadlines, flagging potential issues to the project manager. * Delivers tasks in relation to relative value of the project/business, flagging up potential overruns to the manager. * Builds effective relationships with field and operations colleagues. * Responsible for overseeing a timely invoice process. * Monitors project financial data, assessing financial performance. * Responsible for upwards communication of successes and areas for improvement. * Takes active responsibility for Personal Development Plan and proactively participates in own appraisal * Effectively uses available resource to progress own learning and actively participates in self –development and training to improve professional competence and knowledge * Actively seeks out information and builds networks across the business. Additonal skills required include: * Degree qualified or equivalent * Experience of successfully operating in a market research environment (either agency or client side) and dealing with clients. * Experience of supporting questionnaire design * Experience of managing straightforward research projects and fieldwork, carrying out core project tasks autonomously either from an agency or client side environment. * Experience of identifying analysis and supporting the drafting of presentations/ reports/ deliverables. * Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills * Above average numerical interpretation abilities. * Able to pull together accurate costings, balancing the importance of revenue, profitability & chargeability. * Able to effectively manage and monitor the delivery of a number of activities to meet deadlines. * Clearly and effectively presents/reports on analysis from various sources. * Proficient user of PowerPoint, Excel and Word coupled with the willingness to learn new applications. * The confidence to constructively make recommendations on improvement * Enthusiasm and personal responsibility for self development * Enthusiasm for identifying with clients and their businesses and keen to meet and exceed the needs of internal and external clients.. * Effective contribution through teamwork, open communication and sharing information. * Professionalism, integrity and expertise * A drive for results * Creativity in your approach to problem solving.
