Job Description

This leading and well-established global FMCG Business, with internationally recognised brands is currently recruiting for a Supply Chain Manager. Your role will be to provide strategic leadership to the Account Development team as well as taking overall accountability for the service offering to customers. Your key responsibilitiesas [Supply Chain Manager](/searches/supply-chain-manager-jobs) will be to: * Strive for continuous strategic supply chain development with the customer * Strive for continuous improvements across the team, implementing new objectives and dimensions regularly to achieve a higher bench mark * Develop a tailored Supply Chain innovation strategy to support Customers growth ambitions and ensure these are built into the joint Business Plan * Communicate closely with Customer Demand Planners / [Demand Planners](/searches/demand-planner-jobs--3) and factories to ensure the demand and supply is balanced * Be proactively involved in NPD/co-packing processes to make sure this is managed and delivered in a cost effective way * Continuously develop quality relationships with manufacturing plants, third party contractors and customers * Ensure the timely and cost effective replenishment of stock from UK and European production site through to the businesses third party warehouse * Perform inventory management - ongoing safety stock review, stock reconciliations and management of shelf life/stock at risk * Perform demand control - tracking abnormal demand and management of forecast consumption * Link with global Supply Chain Manager for their account, to align local and global activities and strategy * Work with the wider customer service team, plus planning and distribution, to initiate cost to serve solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness for both Customers and the business * Deliver key projects against strategy to drive for growth through Supply Chain initiatives, e.g: CPFR improvements * Provide career mentoring and coaching to the Customer Replenishment Specialists To be successful you will ideally have exposure in a Customer Supply and Demand role within an FMCG environment, and have had people management experience. You should possess outstanding team-working ability and excellent analytical skills with the ability to assimilate large amounts of data. You will be able to articulate results and ideas in a concise manner to both internal colleagues and external clients. Working experience using systems (Manugistics, SAP-APO reporting/Planning programmes) would be an advantage. We request that candidates send their CV as a Microsoft Word document where possible.
