Job Description

Babywear Designer An exciting opportunity as a Babywear Designer has arisen for one of largest fashion retailers in Belgium. You will be responsible for the design process from initial colour & theme boards, briefing graphic designers, through to CADs and technical sketches for the factory, and managing sample critical path. Your roles will include: * Identifying and translating from a variety of sources which influence fashion to design innovative babywear. * Being responsible from trend, initial colour and theme and concept board work to CADs and technical sketches for factory * Attend all Departmental Development meetings * Best & Worst sellers from the current season * Briefing artwork requirements to the Graphic team & manage deadlines according to critical path * Ensuring ranges deliver the handwriting through creative design, attention to detail and understanding of retail price * Liaise with the merchandise team * Ensuring high standards of sampling are maintained and timely to critical dates * Involving inspirational travel, trend/customer research, comp shopping You will need to be experienced in Photoshop and Illustrator; have commercial flair and be a team player; be highly self motivated; have excellent English Skills and communication skills for international team communication.
