Job Description

Job title: Head of Marketing Department: Marketing Purpose of role: Management and full accountability for all online marketing activities and associated budgets, ranging from the integration of new campaigns through to campaign management, optimisation & reporting. Responsibilities: * Pay Per Click Advertising - Management of the UK Google Adwords PPC account, including it's expansion and cost optimisation. Same for remarketing partners. As above but for the English speaking websites that do not have a direct country manager eg, Ireland, Canada, India and Australia. * Search Engine Optimisation - With the goal to rank #1 in Google for all keyword that brings us customers. Management of a team of SEO experts and writers, who contribute to our internal blogs, twitter and facebook presence, building strategy liaising with reviewers of our products on 3rd party sites. * Newsletter Marketing - Management of the creation and deliverability of the twice weekly newsletter, and other emailed promotions. * International Marketing - For all of the above responsible for the dissemination of the best practice learnt in the UK to the other UK businesses (The Zaps) and to the country managers. * Affiliate Partner Management - Management of the affiliate scheme and its cost optimisation. * PR - Management of the relationship with external PR agency. * Reputation Management - on 3rd party websites like Ciao, TrustPilot etc. * Team Management - Line management of the Online Marketing team, including inductions, staff development, appraisals, as well as assisting with recruitment. Team leader of Online Marketing team, through a senior hands on leadership of the team. * Sales and Marketing - Applying sales and marketing expertise to improve performance of online marketing. Conducting regular competitor analysis to analyse opportunities and ensure regulatory compliance. * Management of Relationships - Liaising with internal product/purchasing teams to maximise opportunities and the effectiveness of the nature and design of our product range. Management of relationships with external marketing services partners to maximise value. * Performance Reporting & Financial Management - Budgetary responsibility for online marketing budgets circa £1m p.a & maximising the effectiveness of this budget. Accurate and timely reporting on the performance of online marketing activities. Detailed analysis of sales, margins and expenses to ensure performance against ROI targets to deliver improvements on budget performance.
