Big four grocer Morrisons has re-launched its Morrisons More loyalty card that rewards its customers with more offers and extra points for cafe customers and fuel.

The card will be available to new and existing card holders who will receive five points per pound spent in store. When 5,000 points are accumulated, shoppers will be awarded a £5 voucher, the Morrisons Fiver.

For the first time Morrisons More cardholders will also earn points in Morrisons cafes – five points for every £1 spent. In addition 10 points will be given for every litre of fuel and five points for evevry £1 spent in Morrisons flower shops, garden centres, pharmacies and extra points for promotions in store and online.

Customers’ points on existing cards will be directly transferred to the new card.

“We have listened to what our customers tell us they want from a Morrisons loyalty scheme. They enjoy earning points every time they shop with us and being rewarded with £5 vouchers – their Morrisons Fivers. But they also said that they want to earn points across our stores, including in our customer cafes” said Morrisons‘ Marketing and Customer Director Andy Atkinson.

While sales at Morrisons and the other big four supermarkets have experienced a period of slow growth, recent findings from Kantar Worldpanel shows that customers remain loyal to the British chains.
