Uniqlo’s parent company Fast Retailing has kicked off FY2026 with a record first-quarter performance and raised its full-year forecasts as global demand and its store expansion continue to gather pace.

For the 12 weeks ending November 2025, business profit jumped 31% to ¥205.6bn (£975m), while consolidated revenue rose 14.8% to ¥1.03 trn (£4.9bn).

Uniqlo International delivered revenue up 20.3% to ¥603.8bn (£2.9bn) and business profit up 38% to ¥117.3bn (£555m).

The business said the performance reflected strong product demand and enhanced marketing, but also the continued rollout of flagship and high-quality stores in core markets.

In particular, the UK played a strong role in the group’s success, with new store openings in cities including Glasgow and Birmingham.

Fast Retailing said demand for core ranges such as HEATTECH and PUFFTECH supported sales as colder weather arrived later in the quarter.

Looking ahead, the company said it now expects full-year FY2026 revenue of ¥3.8 trn (£18.0bn) and business profit of ¥650bn (£3.1bn), while Uniqlo International continue double-digit revenue and profit growth through the year.
