Puma’s vice president of global sports marketing steps down

Johan Adamsson, vice president of global sports marketing and sports licensing at Puma has left the company for personal reasons.

Adamsson has been at the firm for more than 25 years and will depart on August 31 2026.

He said: “I look back with immense gratitude and pride on an extraordinary journey. It has been a true privilege to be part of such an iconic brand, to experience some of the world’s greatest sporting events and, most importantly, to work alongside so many exceptional and inspiring people.”



“Puma has an incredible heritage, and I have every confidence that the brand will continue to lead, inspire and set the standard for many years to come.”

Puma’s CEO Arthur Hoeld added: “Throughout his career at PUMA, Johan has played an important role in the development of our Sports Marketing organization and contributed to many of the athlete, team and federation partnerships that have helped strengthen PUMA’s position as a global sports brand,”.

“I would like to thank him for his commitment and dedication and wish him every success for the future.”

Hoeld will lead the sports marketing department on a interim basis until a successor is appointed.
