Over the course of its 8 year lifespan, the Retail Shopfitting and Display Summit has grown from strength to strength establishing itself as the ideal place for retail industry professionals to stay on top of the latest industry news, updates and innovations. The event’s guest list is therefore, unsurprisingly, packed with some of the biggest household names including American Gold, Cath Kidston, Flight Centre, Hamleys, Harrods, Liberty, Tesco and many more!
Carefully handpicked based upon the business requirements of attending delegates; suppliers were equally plentiful; providing a broad range of innovative products and services; from audio visual and retail design to display stands and shop equipment. This year we hosted the likes of APS Group, CA Design, Expor, Global Display Project, Unibox Retail, VGL, alongside many others.
Over the course of the two-day event delegates and suppliers get together for a series of face-to-face meetings, seminars and endless networking opportunities.
Opening this year’s event, Mark Fanthorphe, Director of Umbrella, shedding wisdom on achieving retail visions by working closely with designers. Next up, Kate Livesley hosted a thought-provoking seminar looking at responsible sourcing and supply chain risks. Sharing some innovative ideas; Mark and Katie did a great job at preparing us for a productive two days and before we knew it, it was time for our coveted face-to-face meetings.
Recognising the importance for businesses to have a good working relationship with their product and service suppliers; our Retail Shopfitting and Display Summit uses a unique formula to match like-minded delegates and suppliers together for a series of face-to-face meetings. After some relaxed networking coffee breaks, a delicious lunch at the Filini Restaurant and more face-to-face meetings; the day was finished off with a seminar; presented by Stuart Fuller, Director of Commercial Operations at NetGames Ltd, shedding light on the impact of the internet revolution on traditional retail channels.
After a busy day, it was finally time for some fun! We provide a handful of relaxed networking opportunities over our infamous gala dinner, drinks and some evening entertainment to ensure attendees get to know one another that little bit better. We had a fun-filled evening in store for our guests; a Fun Money Casino, a Reaction Board and to top it all off an F1 Simulator Competition. Everyone had a great time and got stuck in battling to win a bottle of champagne!
The next day, we were all up bright and early – ready for another productive day. Kirsty Keen, Senior Business Development Manager at Visual Thinking kicks off day two with a group session arming retail professionals the expertise to deliver a memorable shopping experience. After an insightful seminar, it was time for another set of face-to-face meetings and some much-needed coffee breaks! A lot of positive interaction went on during the final business meetings of the day and everyone was pleased with the contacts they had made.
To close the event, Adrian Marks, CEO of enjoy! Marketing discussing lead generation in the social digital era. We had a final networking lunch and before we knew it, it was time to go back to the office but this time armed with a handful of useful contacts.
After another productive two days, the Retail Shopfitting and Display Summit has yet again confirmed its position as market leader; bringing the industry together for another set of face-to-face meetings, informative seminars and finally invaluable networking opportunities; establishing itself as an unparalleled platform to learn, share, network and engage amongst the industry’s key players.
