Firmly re-establishing its position as market leader; the Retail Shopfitting and Display Summit returned for its 8th year this 2016. Taking place on the 8th and 9th February at the Radisson Blu Hotel, London Stansted; the Retail Shopfitting and Display Summit brought the biggest brains in the industry together to discuss relevant business solutions through a series of match made face-to-face meetings. Alongside an expansive seminar programme and endless networking opportunities; the Retail Shopfitting and Display Summit undeniably provides the ideal platform for industry professionals to build upon their network and expertise within the ever-changing industry.

Unique to other events in the industry, the Retail Shopfitting and Display Summit comes as a breath of fresh air to industry professionals. Differing to trade shows and exhibitions; the Summit is significantly smaller in size, concentrating on quality over quantity. Limiting attendance to senior professionals and suppliers that provide a sought-after product or service; the Retail Shopfitting and Display Summit ensures attendees leave with plenty of business contacts relevant to their needs; avoiding the hustle and bustle of a trade show. Confirmed by Sign Specialists Ltd describing the event as “a valuable and great return on investment than exhibiting and generally hoping to engage and develop passing interest”

Over the course of its 8 year lifespan, the Retail Shopfitting and Display Summit has grown from strength to strength establishing itself as the ideal place for retail industry professionals to stay on top of the latest industry news, updates and innovations. The event‘s guest list is therefore, unsurprisingly, packed with some of the biggest household names including American Gold, Cath Kidston, Flight Centre, Hamleys, Harrods, Liberty, Tesco and many more!

Carefully handpicked based upon the business requirements of attending delegates; suppliers were equally plentiful; providing a broad range of innovative products and services; from audio visual and retail design to display stands and shop equipment. This year we hosted the likes of APS Group, CA Design, Expor, Global Display Project, Unibox Retail, VGL, alongside many others.

Over the course of the two-day event delegates and suppliers get together for a series of face-to-face meetings, seminars and endless networking opportunities.

Opening this year‘s event, Mark Fanthorphe, Director of Umbrella, shedding wisdom on achieving retail visions by working closely with designers.  Next up, Kate Livesley hosted a thought-provoking seminar looking at responsible sourcing and supply chain risks. Sharing some innovative ideas; Mark and Katie did a great job at preparing us for a productive two days and before we knew it, it was time for our coveted face-to-face meetings.

Recognising the importance for businesses to have a good working relationship with their product and service suppliers; our Retail Shopfitting and Display Summit uses a unique formula to match like-minded delegates and suppliers together for a series of face-to-face meetings. A key component of our core philosophy; our renowned face-to-face meetings provide the opportunity to network on a personal level – after all evidence confirms that we are much more likely to do business with companies we have met face-to-face. Arno GB Ltd attending this year‘s event praises the concept – “The Retail Shopfitting and Display Summit provides a valuable opportunity… to gain opportunities for business.”

After some relaxed networking coffee breaks, a delicious lunch at the Filini Restaurant and more face-to-face meetings; the day was finished off with a seminar; presented by Stuart Fuller, Director of Commercial Operations at NetGames Ltd, shedding light on the impact of the internet revolution on traditional retail channe
