Made.com currently operates showrooms in London and Leeds and is bringing designer furniture to Liverpool with the launch of a new outlet at the Metquarter retail centre.

The UK-based online furniture retailer is scheduled to open its 4,000 square foot showroom in mid-September to meet growing customer demand in the region. The move follows Hugo Boss‘ 3,000 square foot expansion in the premium shopping centre earlier this year.

Visitors to the showroom will have access to interactive technologies including CloudTags, where customers can access all product information using a tablet device.

Annabel Kilner, Head of UK at MADE.COM, said: “As an online only company, where we can bring our brand to life and enable customers to see the quality of our product, with limited additional costs, we will. The new site allows us to do this – it‘s a cost effective partnership with the centre, meaning there are no big high street costs but we‘re alongside great brands such as Hugo Boss and Jo Malone.”

“We receive approximately 700,000 website visits from Liverpool and the surrounding area per year so Metquarter is a good opportunity for us in the area.”

Nigel Poad, Managing Director of Insite Asset Management, said: “The introduction of MADE.COM to Metquarter demonstrates the centre‘s unrivalled status as the premium retail destination of choice in Liverpool for an increasingly impressive range of brands. The showroom will give the centre and its customers a fantastic new lifestyle option and is a perfect example of the integration of bricks and clicks in a modern shopping environment.”
