Aldi is planning to open 11 new stores across the UK between now and Christmas as it continues its expansion across the UK.
The discounter will open new stores in Sedgley in the West Midlands and Castle Douglas in Scotland this week, followed by Horsham in West Sussex and Muswell Hill in London later this month.
New locations in Totton, Hampshire, Cribbs Causeway, Bristol and Pwllheli in Gwynedd are scheduled to open before Christmas.
Aldi is also refurbing more than 15 stores between now and Christmas to enhance the customer experience and introduce even more sustainable features.
The new openings form part of the grocer’s £800m investment into expanding its UK store footprint this year as it targets 1,500 stores across the UK.
Aldi UK real estate managing director Jonathan Neale said: “At Aldi, we’re committed to making high-quality, affordable food accessible to everyone.
“Our new store openings are a testament to our ongoing investment in the UK, and we’re thrilled to bring Aldi’s unbeatable prices to even more communities ahead of the festive season.”
