Property firm LCR has appointed Lynne Glover as centre manager for Waterloo.London shopping scheme.

The new 135,000sq ft retail and leisure destination at the London Waterloo train station is due to open in spring 2021, and will feature 40 glass-fronted retail units over three floors in the form of an upmarket shopping mall.

Glover will manage day-to-day operations and work on building the project team and shape the development’s management strategy.

Her previous role saw Glover serving as centre manager of Angel Central Shopping Centre for nine years.

“I’m looking forward to helping to create a destination that can be enjoyed by visitors and the local community alike, contributing to the regeneration of the South Bank and creating a truly unique consumer experience,” Glover said.

LCR development director Adrian Lee said: “Waterloo.London is one of the most significant new retail schemes in the capital and major opportunity to capture footfall from Waterloo’s 100 million passengers and the 20 million tourists that visit the South Bank every year.

“The ethos of our scheme is to create a destination inspired by the creative spirit and unique personality of Waterloo, and Lynne is a natural fit to make this a reality from these early stages of the scheme right through to our opening in 2021.”

Once the development is complete, the centre will include malls, a mezzanine and public spaces along a new pedestrianised street, the Waterloo Curve.

The scheme is located in former Eurostar terminal of London Waterloo train station.
