Kingfisher has announced the appointment of Tony Buffin as a new non-executive director with effect from December this year.
Buffin joined Holland & Barrett as chief executive officer last year, prior to which
he was group chief operating officer and chief financial officer at Travis Perkins.
He was also the former chief financial officer of Australian grocery giant Coles,
and prior to that was chief executive officer of The Loyalty Management Group.
“I am delighted to welcome Tony to the Kingfisher Board. His broad range of retail
skills, particularly those gained in the home improvement and digital retail markets, will
be of great benefit to Kingfisher,” Kingfisher chairman Andy Cosslett said.
Buffin said: “I am delighted to be joining the Board of Kingfisher having had first-hand experience of the strength of the Group’s businesses.”
