Waitrose has launched a new cocktail experience within its Wine Tasting at Home service.

Customers can now order a tasting box allowing them to create a cocktail bar experience all from home, with the option to have a Waitrose drinks expert share their knowledge with them either in person or virtually.

The box which is available from the Wine Tasting at Home website contains all the ingredients and kit to make an Espresso Martini, a Fresh Gimlet and an Amalfy Sunset Spritz and includes garnishes such as coffee beans, dehydrated strawberries and oranges.

Costing £35 per person, the kit also includes a shaker, strainer and glasses.

Waitrose said the masterclasses are suitable for six people or more and will involve either an in-person event at a venue of the customer’s choice, or a virtual Zoom session.

Waitrose drinks experience manager Andrew Riding said: ‘We’ve adapted our wine and cocktail services over the last 18 months to include virtual services, which have proved incredibly popular,”

“Now we’re able to host in people’s homes again, this new cocktail box is the perfect option for those looking to learn more about mixology, either in person or online.’’
