Health & beauty retailer Boots is to launch its first ever evening meals range under its Shapers brand as it seeks to broaden its product offering, it has been announced today.

Hitting shelves today, the range will be available in 100 stores across the UK and provides healthy evening meal options such as Chicken & Seafood Paella and Green Thai Chicken Curry, following the successful format of Shapers‘ lunchtime range.

Priced from £1.25, the selection includes 25 new options such as salad options and fresh fruit jellies and a PR campaign incorporating in-store promotions will support the launch.

The growth of the Shapers range follows the roll-out of a 12 month trial to expand its healthy offering, launched last August in conjunction with food retail partner Musgrave which saw its fresh meat and fish products as well as ready meals sold in 11 Boots stores across the country.

Following this, Boots also launched a healthy lunchtime range by Jamie Oliver which aimed to reduce “lunch lethargy” with a premium offering of sandwiches, wraps and salads and the latest move further highlights the retailer‘s commitment to food health.
