MasterCard has appointed Andrea Scerch as President of multi-channel group DataCash and will provide strategic direction and leadership of the company.

DataCash was acquired by MasterCard in 2010, and is a key driver of MasterCard‘s e-Commerce strategy and digital convergence solutions globally, allowing the company to provide new services to acquiring customers and drive increased e-Commerce penetration in both existing and new markets via merchant and technology based partners.

Serch, who has been at MasterCard for eight years and has worked with McKinsey & Company in Italy, will work with DataCash Group Companies, MasterCard Internet Services (DataCash MiGs), as well as DataCash‘s Fraud and Risk Management Tools.

Scerch will replace Ajay Bhalla who takes on a larger role in MasterCard.
