Waitrose has introduced a new seasonal value campaign to support shoppers amid the cost-of-living crisis.

The grocer is running its Great September Savings campaign this month both in store and online.

The campaign features a variety of offers on over 4,000 branded and own-label products. Of these, more than 1,000 are part of the ’Save 1/3’ promotion, which helps save money on shopping basket staples.

For example, 3x200g Heinz Beanz are now selling for £1.45 (previously £2.20), the price of Alpro’s long life oat unsweetened milk has been slashed from £2.10 to £1.25, and its two-pack British venison burgers now retail at £2.19 compared with the original price of £3.29.

The event includes half-price and multibuy deals, as well as personalised offers that customers can use via the MyWaitrose app or paper-based vouchers.

The value campaign ends on September 27, and excludes Little Waitrose stores and the retailer’s franchise partners.

The ingredients have been cheapened because I can taste the difference. How else are you able to hoodwink shoppers? Since the Sugar Tax was brought in, many items have remained on the supermarket shelf. I’d rather pay a higher price for the original flavour but now that producers cannot be trusted with this new weapon in their arsenal; I have resorted to buying single ingredients to avoid this scam.
