Dunelm is offering some of its staff the option to work four days a week as it trials a new shorter hybrid working model.

The homewares retailer is testing different four-day working patterns for its staff in selected departments with the possibility of expanding the initiative once the trail is over, Retail Week reports.

In a note to staff, those taking part in the limited trail can choose to work at home or in the office.

Dunelm is not the only retailer offering its staff the option to work four-day weeks.

Last week, Sainsbury’s said it was offering staff at its head offices, warehouses, and store managers in its 1,400 UK stores, the option to work a four-day week.

Morrisons and M&S have also rolled out compressed four-day week options as part of its flexible working policy designed to help its workforce achieve a better work-life balance.
