Revolution Beauty has appointed former Walgreens vice president for beauty and personal Lauren Brindley as its new group CEO.

The news comes as the company narrowed its losses following conflict with its top shareholder Boohoo.

Prior to working for Walgreens, Brindley served in senior roles at Boots in the UK and overseas.

She is due to start on 18 September.

Last month, the business revealed its former chief executive Bob Holt and chair Derek Zissman would step down.

The move came under Revolution Beauty’s settlement agreement with Boohoo, amid a bitter boardroom battle between the companies.

The conflict arose after Boohoo urged the company to remove Holt, CFO Elizabeth Lake and Chairman Derek Zissman from the board and replace with its own leadership team, including ex-New Look boss Alistair McGeorge.
