Zalando launches immersive content platform with Highsnobiety

Zalando has launched a new immersive fashion content platform in partnership with Highsnobiety.

The German fashion retailer said the new platform, dubbed ‘Stories’, will offer customers curated editorial content on new trends or exclusive brand collaborations to serve as a source of inspiration for when they shop.

Stories will feature weekly updated content, including the five leading series: Cover Story, Style Bible, Guest Edit, The Perfect X and Unpacked.

Zalando and Highsnobiety will curate the series’ content in collaboration with specially invited creative talent.

The content platform is available to customers in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, Denmark, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom.

Next year, the offering is to be expanded to other markets.

Back in June last year, Zalando snapped up a majority stake in the online fashion and lifestyle publication Highsnobiety in a bid to bring content and commerce together.

Zalando senior vice president of product design Anne Pascual said: “We know that customers are looking for inspiration, and with Stories on Zalando, we are doing exactly that: crafting highly engaging formats to show what’s new and what’s next in fashion.

“Working with incredible partners – from cultural trendsetters to style experts and top brands – we invite our customers to a radically new fashion journey. We’re going above and beyond the traditional shopping experience, putting inspiration front and centre, expressing a strong point of view and starting conversations on what matters.”
