Cath Kidston is set to return to the high street after collapsing into administration in 2020.
The British homeware retailer, which was snapped up by Next in a £8.5m deal in 2023, is due to open its first new shop on 18 October at London’s Westfield White City, according to The Sun.
Posting a teaser video on Instagram earlier this week, the retailer wrote: “Why yes. Yes, you guessed right.
“We do indeed we have a new home opening soon. Can anyone tell where in London we’ll be opening our doors?”
Next declined to confirm whether it planned to open further Cath Kidston stores.
The kitsch lifestyle brand fell into administration in 2020 following a downturn in profitability, resulting in 60 UK store closures and the loss of 900 jobs.
However, months later the retailer secured new funding from parent company Baring Private Equity Asia to return as an online-only operation.
It was then snapped up by Hilco in 2022, before Next snapped it up a year later.
