Boots has teamed up with Deliveroo and holiday expert Chelsea Dickenson to deliver forgotten essentials to UK hotspots this summer.

Shoppers can choose from over 750 items such as sunscreen, insect repellent and pain relief to be delivered in as little as 20 minutes to more than 75 UK beaches, walking spots, and festivals.

The cosmetics specialist said that Deliveroo could only deliver to the nearest active road near customer locations, and that riders were unable to deliver directly onto beaches, up hills, mountains or inside UK festivals.

The initiative comes as new research revealed that 1 in 2 Brits forget to pack summer essentials ahead of days out.

The health and beauty giant has also created ready-to-buy summer bundles for festivals, beach trips and adventures with Dickenson. The three bundles cost £20 each and consist of five to seven products with savings of over £10.

Additionally, Boots has introduced three packing lister pages to its website, to remind customers of the necessary and most forgotten essentials for summer days out.

Dickenson said: “Packing shouldn’t be stressful – it should be part of the excitement of going away! However, so many people forget the basics, which can really throw off the start of a trip.

“The new summer bundles and online packing lists at Boots make it easier than ever to feel prepared, stay organised, and enjoy every moment of your holiday. And if you do forget something, Boots items via Deliveroo are just a click away with delivery in as little as 20 minutes!”

The tie up follows Deliveroo launching drone deliveries in Dublin in June, as part of its “continuous mission” to improve the customer experience.

The delivery platform partnered with drone operator Manna to test the new service in the city’s borough of Blanchardstown.
