Asda is set to open its second standalone George concept store in Hull, as the retailer continues its rollout plan to replace its Asda Living estate with the refreshed George format.

Set to open on 31 October, the new store at Anlaby Retail Park will showcase George’s full clothing and homeware range, with a redesigned layout aimed at delivering a more modern and inspiring shopping experience.

The Hull store will launch with George’s new Christmas collection, including festive partywear, home décor and gifts from its exclusive Erica Davies collaboration, alongside expanded toy, baby and interiors ranges.

It is understood that the new store will also feature streamlined self-serve checkouts and Click & Collect options, in a bid to improve convenience for shoppers.

It follows the pilot launch in Leeds’ Crown Point retail park earlier this year, which Asda said has performed “tremendously well,” with strong customer feedback and sales uplift.

The supermarket giant said the new Hull site marks the next phase in Asda’s wider non-food transformation strategy, with 10 more standalone George stores planned to open across the UK in 2026.

“Our pilot George store in Leeds has been a tremendous success, showing how much love there is for the brand and our hero product categories,” said George managing director Liz Evans.

“Building on that momentum, we’re excited to bring the concept to Hull, offering an inspiring, easy-to-shop experience that celebrates everything customers know and love about George.”
