Boots has revealed the opening date of its first fragrance only store, based in London’s Broadgate Central.
The shop, which will measure 2,150sq ft, is set to open on 23 October.
The opening date was revealed at a Boots winter showcase in London yesterday (30 September), Retail Week reported.
The store will house 400 luxury and niche scents, including more than 20 brands that are new to Boots.
Speaking at the store date announcement, Boots director of fragrance Chelsey Saunders said: “Boots Fragrance boutique represents a bold step forward in how we bring fragrance to our customers.
“As the nation’s favourite beauty retailer, we’re proud to be creating a space that not only showcases the very best in luxury and niche perfumery, but also makes it more accessible, inviting and inspiring for all.”
Boots unveiled plans for its fragrance only concept store in July.
The health and beauty chain said new emerging British founder-led brands and niche international labels would be “brought together under one roof to celebrate the artistry and innovation of modern perfumery”.
During the summer, Boots also expanded its home testing kits to help shoppers understand their health.
The retailer launched nine new at-home kits which use DNA or blood to test for a range of health concerns – such as high cholesterol, hormonal imbalances, vitamin deficiencies and food intolerances – without needing to visit a GP.
