N Brown Group has appointed Clare Empson as director of supply chain, property and group efficiency, just months after she left the business.

Empson has rejoined the Simply Be and Jacamo owner after stepping down as chief customer operations officer in January.

She first joined N Brown in January 2024, following almost 25 years at Ted Baker, where she most recently served as director of operations.

In a post on LinkedIn, Empson said: “I’m really pleased to be re-joining N Brown Group as director of supply chain, property and group efficiency at such an exciting time for the business.

“I am looking forward to working closely with our teams as the business continues into its next phase, while reconnecting with partners and suppliers across the network.”

In her new role, Empson will focus on strengthening operations, delivering value for customers and supporting the group’s strategic transformation.

She added: “Excited to hit the ground running, reconnect with familiar faces, and meet new colleagues over the coming weeks.”

The appointment comes as N Brown continues to reshape its leadership team. In March, the group promoted Dan Joy to chief executive, replacing Steve Johnson, who left the business after 10 years, including time as executive chair.
