Tesco products and Clubcard Prices are now available nationwide on Uber Eats, giving millions more customers across the UK another way to order their groceries.
Thousands of Tesco products are now available through the Uber Eats app, following a successful trial across 73 Tesco stores.
Using the rapid delivery service, customers can also access hundreds of Clubcard Prices and earn Clubcard points when shopping through the platform.
The launch builds on the supermarket’s Whoosh, its own fast delivery service, which offers grocery delivery from as little as 20 minutes from around 1,800 Tesco stores. Whoosh reaches more than 70% of the UK population and has around 1.5 million customers.
Tesco said Whoosh sales increased by 51% last year. The service now also allows customers to book same-day delivery windows, shop without a minimum spend and place larger orders. More than 250 larger Tesco stores offer an expanded range through Whoosh.
Tesco said its main grocery home shopping service reaches more than 99% of the UK and delivers more than 1.2 million orders each week.
The supermarket will expand its delivery options further in September, when Tesco products are due to become available on Deliveroo.
Tesco digital director Rob Graham said: “We want to make shopping with Tesco as convenient as possible for customers, and our launch on Uber Eats gives even more people access to the outstanding quality, value and range they expect from us.”
Uber Eats UK general manager for grocery & retail Katie Hunter added: We’re thrilled to launch Tesco on a delivery platform for the first time with Uber Eats, now bringing their much-loved product ranges to even more customers.
“With Clubcard being integrated in the app from day one, our customers are already enjoying the ease and convenience of rapid delivery while still claiming their favourite Tesco rewards.”
