Primark has confirmed it will complete the roll out of its click and collect service to all 186 stores across the UK by this summer.

The option will go live in a further 18 stores today (26 February), which takes the number of Primark stores offering click and collect to 131, almost three-quarters of its estate across the UK.

Customers can browse and order on the Primark website before picking up their items in store from two days later, at a time that suits them.

The retailer said that the service also gives customers access to new and expanded ranges they might not otherwise be able to get in their local store.

This includes its new adaptive clothing range, which launched last month, designed in partnership with adaptive designer and disability campaigner Victoria Jenkins.

Primark UK retail director Kari Rodgers said: “We know that our customers love the convenience that Click & Collect offers, as well as the opportunity to access ranges otherwise only found in larger stores. With the roll out now due to complete in time for summer we hope this will help make summer holiday shopping that little bit easier.”

Back in April last year, the retailer said its click & collect service would roll-out to all stores by the end of 2025.

It said the ongoing expansion of click and collect “is just one part of Primark’s ongoing investments in its stores, as it continues to look at ways to give shoppers greater convenience and choice and more reasons to visit their local Primark store and high street”.

Independent research conducted by Public First found that the retailer contributes £2.6bn to the UK economy and supports 54,000 jobs across the country.

While 2.3m people cite Primark as the main reason for visiting their high street each week, with every £10 spent at its store also generating an additional £3.60 for the high street.
