Currys PC World is the latest major high street retailer to branch out to same-day delivery, introducing the new service to its multichannel offering for shoppers around the UK.
Customers of the electricals and technology retailer can now opt to select a two-hour delivery timeslot of their choice that day, between 12pm-10pm.
Same-day timeslots will automatically be displayed upon checkout to customers placing an order for a small item before 4pm.
The new service, which runs seven days a week and costs customers £9.95, is available to shoppers within a 10-mile radius of one of 242 Currys PC World stores around the country.
Currys PC is partnering with delivery service On the dot to roll out their same-day deliveries, and adds to the range of fulfilment options already available to customers, such as standard and next day delivery.
Currys PC World is part of the Dixons Carphone retail empire, which is due to release its half-year trading update on Wednesday.
