Argos to recruit 10,000 for Christmas

General Retail

Argos is on the hunt for 10,000 new staff to help the high street retailer in the upcoming Christmas rush.

Customer advisers and stock assistants are among the jobs being offered at the retailer‘s 840 stores across the UK, as well as drivers for its distribution service.

While initial contracts are around three to four months, there is potential for some roles to become permanent at the end of the festive season.

Employees would be offered at least 10 hours a week and six hours on weekends.

Argos’ parent company Home Retail was recently acquired by Sainsbury’s in a £1.4 billion deal.
