Reiss launches its first childrenswear collection

The premium fashion retailer Reiss has launched its own childrenswear collection for kids aged four to nine this week.

Created by the same in-house team that produces the brand’s womenswear and menswear ranges, the inspiration for the collection is “modern children and a belief that children are individuals with personal style”.

The launch collection offers 140 pieces that reflect the adult ranges in terms of design.

Items include a tailored overcoat, suede jacket, stretch jeans, puffer jackets, t-shirts and knitwear, as well as children’s versions of the brand’s leisurewear in the same neutral tones.

The range is set to launch online only on Reiss’s website and at selected partners including Next, John Lewis and Selfridges on Wednesday 20 October.

Reiss womenswear director Una Joyce said: “This is the first time Reiss has designed for children, we listened to our customers and the children around us to help create this collection.”

Reiss menswear director Alex Field added: “We learned that, just as grown-ups, children want a modern, effortless wardrobe. We then designed each piece to look and feel quintessentially Reiss.”

The range features 140 styles across both genders with prices ranging from £12 for a cotton t-shirt up to £358 for shearling aviator jacket.

The childrenswear launch follows other category expansion at Reiss, including a petite range in September and a golf capsule collection in May.
