As a host of retailers release their Christmas campaigns for 2020, House of Fraser has joined in the early rush with its own ‘House of Festive’ launch.

At the heart of the campaign is “a reminder of the joy of Christmas, gifting and shopping” and features a multi-generational cast “luxuriating in the fun, extravagant, festiveness of the season – everything they can find at the ‘House of Festive’”.

The retailer’s campaign is aimed at Christmas gifters, “in particular those who see the Christmas shopping trip as an annual event, buying for all, and so needing the unique mix of brands and departments on offer at House of Fraser”.

The TV campaign debuted this week with spots also coinciding with “the best of heart-warming, festive content” including the Pride of Britain Awards, The Great British Bake Off: An Extra Slice, I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here, and The Chase.

The department store retailer said the ad gained its inspiration from “insight into our desire to make this year’s Christmas particularly special after the disappointment of last year’s cancelled celebrations”.

The campaign centres on AV broadcast media through linear TV, BVOD and Sky AdSmart and will be supported with OOH, radio, digital and in-store activity.

A spokesperson for House of Fraser said: “Showcasing House of Fraser as the ‘House of Festive’, it brings to life luxurious and joyful festivities, whilst demonstrating our incredible product offering – cementing House of Fraser as the ultimate place to shop this festive season.”
