Telecommunications firm Everything Everywhere has announced the appointment of a new Chief Sales Officer, with Marc Allera beginning in the role today.

Reporting to new CEO Olaf Swantee, Allera joins the retailer from mobile network provider Three where he was Chief Commercial Officer, Sales & Marketing Director and was said to be a driving force in the business.

“It is a privilege to join Everything Everywhere at a time when the company is further improving how it builds and maintains its relationships with customers,” Allera said today.

“I look forward to leading this reinvention and making Everything Everywhere, through the Orange and T-Mobile brands, the mobile provider of choice for people across the country.”

The new role will see Allera take responsibility for driving sales and retention, while also ensuring that customer service remains a key aspect in the company‘s strategy and he will oversee these across multichannel platforms.

In recent times, sales have struggled for the retailer which reported a 4.3 per cent drop in total revenue to £1.6 billion for its third quarter. It seems that an ongoing restructuring of its senior team is aimed at improving these figures.

Swantee explained that the appointment of Allera is aimed at strengthening the retailer‘s position as mobile phones maintain their ubiquitous presence across the country.

“As mobile devices become more powerful and more important to the everyday lives of nearly everyone, we are focusing our business on providing outstanding service and support through our frontline teams,” he said.

“Marc is going to play a pivotal role in bringing a service-oriented culture to all of our sales channels that will differentiate Everything Everywhere in the market.”
