Fashion retailer White Stuff has today announced no less than seven senior management appointments, including a new Chairman & Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

Vince Gwilliam, who has been with the business for over 13 years, is stepping down from his Chairman role to become a senior Non-Exective Director, and will be replaced by Debbie Hewitt who is also the Chairman of suit specialist Moss Bros.

Another long-serving employee to make-way in the reshuffle is Finance Director Richard Steele who has decided to leave the firm after five years in the position, so as to spend more time with his young family before exploring other opportunities.

Former interim CEO of lingerie retailer La Senza Nick Mather will join the finance team as CFO and will hope to continue Steele‘s good work which saw total sales at the business grow from £30 million annually when he joined in June 2007 to over £100 million today.

Sally Bailey, CEO of White Stuff, said: “I am delighted to welcome some new members to the White Stuff family to assist us in our next stage of growth.

“I would also like to thank Richard Steele, our Finance Director for his significant contribution to White Stuff‘s success over the past 5 years and wish him well in his future pursuits.”

In other appointments; Jo Penny has become White Stuff‘s new Merchandising Director, a role she held at House of Fraser (HoF) for 14 years, whilst fellow HoF former employee Antonia Long has become the firm‘s new Buying & Design Director.

Ian McMillian has been named the retailer‘s IT Director, having previously worked at Marks & Spencer and Kingfisher, while Katie Grassby, who has been at White Stuff for 17 years, is to take a step back from her overall leadership of Buying & Design to take up the position of Style Director.

White Stuff reported in January that its EBITDA rose four per cent in its previous full-year period, an also that sales jumped 20 per cent in total over the period.
